Mariann started her nursing career as an operating room nurse in 1978 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. After moving to Austin in 1980, she began working in Labor & Delivery in Seton Medical Center and has stayed with Women's health care since. She joined the RWG staff with Dr. Donna Hurley in 1984 and expanded her nursing role as a childbirth educator. Mariann completed her WHNP training and will be certified in the fall of 2004. Mariann thoroughly enjoys assisting women of all ages with their preventive and immediate healthcare needs. She relates especially well with adolescents and young women having three daughters of her own. She and her husband live in the country and enjoy movies, gardening, walking and family gatherings. Mariann is active in her church community with youth work, service projects and mission trips.
