Dr. Laura Meritt received her undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University and attended medical school at the University of Arkansas. After completing her residency in OB/Gyn at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, she moved to Austin to begin her practice.  Laura joined Renaissance Women's Group in 1995.

She is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She enjoys the challenge of her gynecologic practice and considers it a privilege to assist in the miracle of childbirth. When Dr. Meritt is not at work, she spends as much time as possible with her husband and children. She is also active in the church and various community service organizations.
