Kristen has been living in Austin since 1990, where she attended the University of Texas, Austin, and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She began her career as a Postpartum nurse at Seton Medical Center, and later joined the Renaissance Women's Center as a Labor/Delivery, Postpartum, and Neonatal nurse. In 2000, she began working with the Renaissance Women's Group, as Dr. Sherry Neyman's nurse. In 2006, she returned to graduate school where she received her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. During this time she also became RWG's EMR (electronic medical records) Project Coordinator for the transition to computerized medical records. In 2008, she began working as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner, and now works alongside several of our physicians. She is recognized by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practice Nurse, and is certified as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner by the National Certification Corporation for Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties.
She is excited for the opportunity to continue working with RWG while expanding her education and interest in women's health care. "As a Nurse Practitioner, I respect and value the diversity of my patients, and I hope to empower women of all ages through education and preventive health care." In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, films, books, and spending time with her family.
